OUR COURSE

City Arise School of Ministry uses the

Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM) Curriculum

BSSM is the ministry school of Bethel Church in Redding California. It has been operating for twenty years and has trained over 10,000 revivalists from all around the world, helping them to transform their spheres of influence, bringing heaven to earth, just like Jesus' command in the Lords prayer.

Our Pastors and leaders have been blessed through this school and church and recognise the power in this teaching to help us to better represent Jesus to the people we meet.

We are blessed to have access to the teaching from BSSM and this forms much of the video teaching that you will have access to. On the night, there will also be worship, some live teaching and we will split into smaller revival groups where you will get to participate in discussion, ministry time, encounters and activations.

Topics covered include Kingdom Identity, Bible interpretation and application, Prophetic ministry, Healthy Relationships, Revival lifestyle and so much more.

Applications are now closed: Please check in with us mid 2020 for more details on our next intake schedule.

Please check out more information on our school below and if you have any questions, feel free to contact us casm@cityarise.church

HOURS

Our school meets weekly on a Wednesday night from 7pm - 9:30pm during term.

First Semester will run for 20 weeks from February to July and will have a two week break in April.

Students will also have the option to join us for another Semester in the second half of the year (July to December)

The Wednesday night will include worship, teachings and time in smaller revival groups.

Outreach opportunities will be provided throughout the course where you will be able to practice what you have learnt and bless our city.

CASM is a powerful and transformational course but you will only get the best out of the course if you put your best effort into the course.

From our students we expect of you:

- To attend every week regardless of whether you "feel" like coming or not (graduation of this course requires you to attend atleast 18 of the 20 weeks)

- To arrive prior to the starting time

- To come ready and willing to learn, not to challenge what is being taught

- To be open to being challenged and to experience new things

- To come ready to engage in the process of change and growth

- To be loving and respectful of leaders and fellow students

- To be willing to take risks and be open to feeling uncomfortable for the benefit of growth.

If we feel you are not putting your effort in to the course and engaging in the process, we will have a meeting with you to discuss it. We may suggest you come back in a later year when you are ready to give it a better shot.

Reading is a large part of our curriculum. There are mandatory readings which include chapters from the Bible and instructional books. All books that you are expected to read will be provided to you as part of the course.

The curriculum we are using provides you with access to some powerful online video teaching from BSSM. Some of this will be used on campus and others you will be tasked with watching during the week.

CASM is focused on personal transformation. Participation, excellence, and timely completion of homework is expected of each student. Homework is done on the “honor system” which is designed do just that—build your honor. Students will learn to build their integrity one “yes,” one completion, one check box at a time.

Although the course is run on campus, there is an expectation that you will complete further requirements during the week from home.

Each week there will be an expectation that you will complete up to 3 hours of homework which will include:

Watch 1 online video (between 1-1.5 hours)

Read the scheduled chapters of the bible

Read a chapter of a provided book

The first semester of CASM 2020 (February to July) will cost $260* for the 20 week course, this covers the cost of the curriculum and required books.

Semester 2: 2020 will be offered at the same tuition rate.

There are two payment options:

OPTION 1: $260 upfront by the end of February.

OR

OPTION 2: 5 monthly payments of $55 from February to July.

If affordability is an issue for you in attending CASM, please still apply and speak with a Pastor at your interview to discuss the availability of full and part scholarships.

* Please note the first Semester of CASM has been provided at a discount to the

full cost of the course.

After you have completed the online application form (link on the top right of the page) our pastors will review your application.

From there we will schedule an interview with you, this may be in person or over the phone. Please apply early so we can start the interviews earlier.

The reasons for the interview:

- To get to know you better

- To explain to you the expectations of the course

- To assess your suitability for the course

After the interview you will either be offered a place on the course, or we may suggest applying the following year and will suggest ways that you can be better prepared to get the best out of the course.

If you have been offered a place in the course, you will then need to make your first payment towards the tuition fees (unless an alternative arrangement has been made).

Come expectant to encounter God in new and wonderful ways, to be encouraged and equipped for all God has for your life. Gods best life for you is waiting for you to take a hold of.
